10.Shin-Okubo

Shin-Okubo Station is next to Shinjuku Station on the JR Yamanote Line. Shin-Okubo Station is famous as a Korean town, so much so that you would think you are in a foreign country when you get off the station. Nowadays, Shin-Okubo is filled with signs in various languages, including Chinese and Vietnamese, as well as Korean. This former Koreatown has now become a trendy place for young people.

Korean restaurants where you can enjoy gourmet foods that are the talk of the town on SNS, stores selling goods of Korean idols, and many specialty stores of Korean cosmetics line the streets, and on weekends, the area is crowded with people, especially young women. Some even stroll around with rolling suitcases, making it a tourist attraction!

There are many roads leading to Okubo-dori, the main road in Korean Town, and a number of Korean stores line the streets.
